The Department of History organized an educational tour to Sri Pratap Singh Museum, Lal Mandi, Srinagar on 4 October 2025 for the students of B.A. 3rd Semester (Major – History). The visit aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to the rich archaeological, artistic, and cultural heritage preserved in the museum. The students observed various sections including archaeology, numismatics, manuscripts, decorative arts,, and ethnographic displays, enhancing their understanding of Kashmir’s material culture and historical continuity. The tour was coordinated and supervised by Dr. Gousia Khan, Dr. Kouser Fatima, and Dr. Muzaffar Mir, who guided the students through the exhibits and encouraged analytical discussions. As part of the academic exercise, students were assigned to prepare individual reports on different sections of the museum, thereby integrating field learning with theoretical knowledge.
