Under the esteemed patronship of the worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Masood Ahmad Malik, the Department of Environmental Science, in collaboration with the Eco Club, organized a Poster Making Competition to commemorate World Ozone Day 2025. The event was held on 16th September 2025 in the Conference Hall of the college, bringing together faculty members and students to deliberate on the importance of protecting the ozone layer and promoting sustainable environmental practices. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Sayar Yaseen, Head of the Department of Environmental Science and Convener of the Eco Club. He warmly welcomed all participants and highlighted the crucial role of the ozone layer in shielding the Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation. Prof. Yaseen emphasized the significance of global cooperation, particularly the success of the Montreal Protocol, in mitigating ozone depletion. These posters depicted the causes and impacts of ozone layer depletion and suggested sustainable solutions. The session inspired students to adopt eco-friendly practices and spread awareness about ozone-protection.
