Report of One Day National Cultural Programme As part of Deepawali celebrations, Debates and Seminars Committee of GDC Women Anantnag in collaboration with Media Student Association Haryana organised a Seminar on the theme “Diversity Unites India: A Journey through Cultures” on 21/10/2025. The event began with the playing of the National Anthem. After the National Anthem, Prof. Dr. Masood Ahmad Malik, the Principal of the College, in his Welcome Address highlighted the significance of the theme and also reflected on the diverse cultures of India that is in itself a unique feature of our nation. Prof. Masood also provided insights regarding the historical cultural and plural ethos that has united India since ages. The Principal concluded with his heartfelt remarks wishing everyone the happy Deepawali. The event was introduced Prof. Farooq Ahmad Malik (HOD Political Science) who in his brief address highlighted the background and significance of organising the event on the auspicious occasion of celebrations of Deepawali festival. Prof. Farooq provided significant account of the cultural diversity and the beauty in maintaining Unity.
