Department of Home Science

The Department of Home Science was Established in the Year 1999 housed at Block E on the Ground Floor. The Department has three well equipped laboratories to cater to the different Specializations offered by the Department. The Department offers 4-year Bachelor’s Degree offering the choice among two Majors- Food and Nutrition as well as Extension and Communication. The Department of Home Science provides an interdisciplinary approach in teaching to every stakeholder. Our faculty members are dedicated and qualified who bring expertise in a wide range of contemporary areas for the overall grooming of the students and making them ready for the future. We aim to improve the significant opportunities and support to our students and nation's future to generate knowledge, prepare for a career and address the sprouting needs of the society. Our department aims to provide the coming generation with the best knowledge and hands-on experience of programs that will pave their ways towards success and growth.
