The department of Biochemistry was established in the year 2016. VISION • To develop the Department of Biochemistry into a centre of Excellence in Higher education and Research. • To provide an atmosphere for the students to learn scientific basis of life processes at the Biochemical and Molecular level, with a broader aim to learn the intricacies of Biological Sciences. Mission • To impart advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in biochemistry, preparing students for careers in academia, research, healthcare, and industry. • To impart the knowledge of Biochemistry for the issues that need biochemical intervention. • To develop ethical, skilled, and socially responsible biochemists capable of contributing to sustainable development.
